YPM Moves Ogun-East Mega Rally To October 30, Retains Venue, Time

Movement shifts event from Wednesday to Friday, fixes solidarity trek for 7am in Ijebu-Ode
The Yayi Progressives Movement (YPM) has rescheduled its Ogun-East Mega Rally from Wednesday, October 28, to Friday, October 30, 2026, while retaining the previously announced venue and programme time.
The political support group announced the adjustment in a statement issued to journalists on Tuesday through its Media and Publicity Department, urging members, supporters and other stakeholders to take note of the new date and adjust their schedules accordingly.
Global Mirror News reports that the movement attributed the change to the need for further coordination and fine-tuning of arrangements to ensure the smooth, orderly and successful conduct of the mega rally.
Under the revised schedule, the rally will commence at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 30, 2026, at the venue earlier announced by the organisers.
The movement also confirmed that the solidarity trek preceding the rally would begin at 7:00 a.m. at Mobalufon Under Bridge, Ijebu-Ode, where accreditation procedures will be conducted as part of the exercise.
Participants have been advised to arrive early and cooperate with officials responsible for accreditation and other organisational arrangements to ensure an orderly process.
YPM expressed regret over any inconvenience the change might cause members, supporters and other stakeholders, while appreciating their patience, understanding and continued cooperation.
The movement further reiterated its commitment to unity, effective coordination, mutual understanding and constructive engagement among its members and supporters, emphasising the need for collective efforts towards achieving its political objectives.
It urged all members, supporters and well-wishers to take note of the revised arrangements and make the necessary adjustments to their plans to ensure full participation in the programme.
The Ogun-East Mega Rally forms part of YPM’s political mobilisation activities in support of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, as the movement seeks to strengthen grassroots engagement and demonstrate support for the senator across the Ogun-East Senatorial District.
With the new date now fixed, attention is expected to focus on the mobilisation of supporters and the final preparations for the solidarity trek and mega rally in Ijebu-Ode.
