Keke Rider Who Returned N15m Gets 10 Marriage Offers, to Marry 4 Women

A 22-year-old commercial tricycle rider in Kano State, Auwalu Salisu, who recently returned N15 million he found abandoned in his tricycle, has received an extraordinary reward for his honesty, an offer to choose four wives from 10 women.

The offer was made by the Kano Matchmaking Marriage Association, popularly known as Mai Dalilin Aure, following the young man’s decision to return the huge amount of money to its rightful owner instead of keeping it.

Salisu had reportedly discovered the N15 million, alongside some CFA currency, inside his tricycle after a passenger, identified as a citizen of the Republic of Chad, mistakenly left the money behind.

Rather than seeing the discovery as an opportunity to change his own financial situation, the young rider reportedly made efforts to locate the owner and return the money.

His action has since attracted widespread commendation, with the matchmaking association describing him as a young man whose integrity, honesty and sense of responsibility deserved public recognition.

Speaking with Freedom Radio Kano, Chairman of the Kano Matchmaking Marriage Association, Alhaji Mukhtar Inuwa Yakasai, said the association decided to honour Salisu in a manner that reflected the value it placed on his character.

Yakasai disclosed that 10 women had been made available for the young man to choose from, after which he would be allowed to marry four of them.

In a particularly striking revelation, the association chairman said two of the women on the list were his own daughters.

“There are 10 women for him to select from. Two of them are my daughters,” Yakasai said.

According to him, the unusual gesture was not merely about rewarding Salisu with material gifts, but also about recognising the trustworthiness displayed by a young man who had an opportunity to keep millions of naira but chose to return the money.

“He is indeed trustworthy. That is why we have decided to honour him with these gifts,” Yakasai said.

Global Mirror News reports that the incident has drawn attention to the importance of honesty and integrity, particularly at a time when the discovery of such a huge amount of money could easily tempt an individual to keep it.

For Salisu, however, the decision to return the money has brought him something far beyond the gratitude of the owner. His act of honesty has now placed him at the centre of a remarkable matchmaking offer, with 10 women reportedly available for him to choose from.

The development has also sparked conversations about the value of rewarding good character and encouraging young people to remain honest even when faced with opportunities to benefit unlawfully.

The identity of the women and whether Salisu has accepted the marriage offer or made his selection was not immediately disclosed.
