Husband Reveals How He Discovered Wife Allegedly Abusing Daughter With Sex Toy

The husband of 36-year-old Anulika Onyeanusia, who was arrested by the Anambra State Police Command over the alleged sexual abuse of her underage daughter, has recounted how he discovered the disturbing incident.
Global Mirror News gathered that Ikechukwu Onyeanyusi was alerted by a friend who showed him a video allegedly depicting his wife sexually abusing their daughter with a sex toy.
According to him, he was returning from his business on Thursday evening when his friend contacted him and showed him the video.
Speaking in a video shared on Saturday by the Anambra State Ministry of Women and Social Welfare, Onyeanyusi said he had not previously seen the video circulating online.
He said the footage left him confused and shocked because he immediately recognised both his wife and daughter.
“I saw the video. It was my wife, and I saw my daughter. She was molesting the child.”
The husband said his initial reaction was disbelief, as he struggled to understand what he had seen.
He explained that he wanted to leave immediately after seeing the video, but his friend restrained him and advised him to remain calm.
Onyeanyusi later confronted his wife and asked her to explain the video.
According to him, she initially denied the allegation and claimed that the video was artificially generated using artificial intelligence.
“I came to her, and I asked her, ‘What exactly is this that I saw on the internet?’ She said what? ‘I saw your video molesting my daughters. How come this happened?’ She said no. That it’s not true,” he recounted.
The husband said he challenged her denial, insisting that he had seen the video himself.
He subsequently returned to his friend and questioned whether the footage could genuinely have been generated using AI.
However, Police officers arrived at the family’s residence shortly afterwards, according to him.
Onyeanyusi said the officers searched the premises before arresting his wife.
“Before I knew it, Police have already come to my house. They said they want to search. I said to them, ‘Okay.’ So they did all the searching they did, they arrested her and all of us left,” he said.
The husband said his wife later admitted to the allegation while being questioned at the Police station.
According to him, the Divisional Police Officer asked whether he knew about what his wife had allegedly been doing to their daughters.
He said he told the Police that he had no knowledge of the alleged abuse.
The Police then asked his wife whether her husband knew about the alleged acts, and she reportedly replied that he did not.
It was at that point, according to Onyeanyusi, that he directly asked his wife whether she had actually committed the acts shown in the video.
“She said yes,” he recalled.
The admission, he said, left him devastated.
“I got weak. I got tired. How come this kind of a thing can happen? How can you do this kind of a thing?” he said.
The husband explained that he was overwhelmed by the situation and struggled to process what had happened to his family.
“I just sat down in the police office. I can’t get myself. I was, you know, reasoning, ‘What is this? What has happened to me?’” he added.
Global Mirror News gathered that the couple resides in Onitsha, Anambra State, where police reportedly recovered sex toys and other items considered relevant to the ongoing investigation.
The Anambra State Police Command had earlier announced that Onyeanusia was arrested on September 10 following open-source intelligence concerning a disturbing viral video allegedly showing a woman sexually abusing a minor.
The police also disclosed that four children, aged two, three, six and nine, were rescued during the operation.
The command said the suspect remained in custody while detectives continued investigating the circumstances surrounding the alleged offence and determining whether other persons were involved.
In another video of her questioning that has circulated online, Onyeanusia reportedly told investigators that she uploaded content involving her daughter on a pornographic platform in exchange for money.
She reportedly said the highest amount she earned from the alleged activity was $300.
The suspect reportedly blamed the devil for her actions and pleaded for forgiveness, while also stating that her husband was unaware of what she had allegedly been doing.
Her husband said he was deeply disappointed by the development, particularly because the alleged victim was their own child.
“I am totally disappointed in my wife. I never believed that she is going to do this kind of a thing, even to the daughter… to her own daughter and to my own daughter. I never believed it,” he said.
He explained that he decided to speak publicly in order to clarify how he discovered the alleged abuse and assure the public that he had not been aware of what was allegedly happening.
Meanwhile, the Anambra State First Lady, Dr Nonye Soludo, has condemned the alleged abuse, describing the development as deeply disturbing and beyond comprehension.
She also pledged to follow the case closely and ensure that the children receive the necessary medical care, psychological support and rehabilitation.
The case remains under investigation by the police, and the allegations against the suspect will be subject to due legal process.
