Fresh Details Emerge as Celestial Pastor Allegedly Kills Wife, Dies After Jumping Into Moving Truck

Fresh details have emerged surrounding the tragic death of a Celestial Church of Christ Pastor, Bidemi Odukoya, who allegedly killed his wife during a midnight domestic dispute in Ogun State before reportedly taking his own life by throwing himself in front of a moving truck.

Global Mirror News gathered that the incident occurred on Monday, August 31, 2026, at Ogooluwa Community in Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State, leaving residents and members of the community in shock and mourning.

Odukoya, who was reportedly the Shepherd of Iri Orun Parish of the Celestial Church of Christ, allegedly attacked his wife with a machete during an argument that reportedly escalated into a violent confrontation.

According to eyewitness accounts, the dispute was allegedly triggered by accusations of infidelity between the couple.

The Pastor reportedly accused his wife of having an affair with another man, while his wife was also said to have accused him of being involved with another woman within his church.

The disagreement reportedly intensified around midnight before degenerating into a physical fight.

During the confrontation, Odukoya allegedly used a machete to inflict a severe injury on his wife’s head. She reportedly collapsed and died at the scene.

Their 14-year-old son, identified as Daniel, was said to have raised the alarm immediately after witnessing the horrifying incident.

The teenager reportedly ran out of the house to alert neighbours, who rushed to the residence and allegedly found the woman lying motionless in a pool of blood.

Following the alleged attack, Odukoya, who was reportedly a father of three boys, fled the community.

He was said to have headed towards Coker Junction, around the Ifo section of the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway, approximately 20 minutes away from the Community.

According to reports, the clergyman allegedly ran into the path of a moving truck at the expressway, resulting in his death.

The tragic development reportedly left residents grappling with the shock of losing both husband and wife within a short period.

Reports further indicated that the remains of the couple were buried beside their residence on Monday evening.

The Ogun State Police Command has commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the deaths.

Confirming the incident to newsmen, the command’s spokesperson, ASP Opeyemi Oluborode, said the Police were investigating the matter.

He disclosed that the case had been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for diligent investigation.

Authorities are expected to establish the events that led to the deadly confrontation, including the circumstances surrounding the wife’s death and the Pastor’s subsequent death.
