Dramatic CCTV footage from a hospital in Kumamoto, Japan, has captured the frightening moment Surgeons and other Medical workers struggled to keep a patient safe when a 7.1-magnitude earthquake suddenly struck while surgery was underway.
The shocking footage, captured on July 28, showed the operating theatre beginning to sway as the earthquake struck, turning what had been a carefully controlled medical procedure into a scene of panic and confusion.

Yet, in the middle of the chaos, attention remained fixed on the patient lying on the operating table.
Two members of the medical team could be seen holding the operating table down and shielding the patient as the violent shaking continued.
The lights reportedly flickered on and off while equipment moved around the theatre, creating an increasingly dangerous situation for everyone inside.
One of the Medical workers was also thrown to the floor while attempting to secure moving equipment, illustrating the force of the earthquake and the difficulty of maintaining control inside the theatre.
Other personnel were seen stumbling and being thrown across the room as the building shook.
Despite the frightening circumstances, the medical team remained determined to protect the patient.
Rather than immediately abandoning the procedure, the Surgeons concentrated on securing the operating table and preventing the patient from being exposed to additional danger as the earthquake rattled the room.
The footage offers a rare and disturbing glimpse into what can happen when a natural disaster strikes in the middle of a highly delicate medical procedure.
