Yayi Progressive Movement Donates Campaign Materials to Adeola, Reaffirms Support Ahead of 2027
The Yayi Progressives Movement, a major support group within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State, has renewed its support for Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola ‘Yayi’ with another donation of campaign materials and food items ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The presentation, held on Thursday, brought together prominent members and stakeholders of the APC, including the party’s Deputy Governorship Candidate, Mrs. Kudirat Abiodun Balogun (nee Adegunwa); Commissioner for Budget, Hon. Olaolu Olabimtan; Hon. Adekunle Akinlade; Hon. Babatunde Olaotan; and other party leaders.
Selected representatives of the Yayi Progressives Movement presented the items to Senator Adeola, reinforcing the group’s continued mobilisation and support for his political activities.
Speaking at the gathering, Senator Adeola expressed appreciation to members of the movement for their sustained commitment, noting that their contributions to his political journey could not be overlooked.
He specifically acknowledged the efforts of the movement’s Convener, Armstrong ‘Tope Akintunde, and other members for their various initiatives since the group was inaugurated.
According to the senator, the movement had demonstrated its commitment through several activities, including the donation of 27 buses and the organisation of a solidarity trek, among other mobilisation efforts.
Adeola urged members of the movement to maintain their momentum and continue mobilising support ahead of the 2027 elections.
He added that the success of the APC would ultimately translate into benefits for the people of Ogun State.
Global Mirror News reports that the Yayi Progressives Movement has continued to position itself as a grassroots mobilisation platform supporting Senator Adeola and other APC candidates in Ogun State.
In an acknowledgment statement released to journalists on Friday through the movement’s Director of Media and Communications, Comrade Oluseun Joshua, Akintunde said his support for Senator Adeola predates the formation of DACA and was motivated by a clear sense of purpose.
He said the results of the long-standing commitment were now becoming visible, describing Adeola as a father figure to many members of the movement.
“Our principal, distinguished Senator Solomon Adeola ‘Yayi’, is a father to many of us. He has demonstrated this in many ways. There is no amount of effort we can put together that would prevent him from enjoying our full support,” Akintunde said.
He explained that Adeola had consistently encouraged members to mobilise support for APC candidates across the state, even before the formation of DACA and the emergence of the Yayi Progressives Movement.
According to him, supporting Adeola remains a major assignment for members of the movement as preparations for the 2027 elections gather momentum.
“The election of our principal and distinguished Senator Solomon Adeola Olamilekan ‘Yayi’ is a paramount assignment to all of us in the Yayi Progressives Movement.
“I appreciate all our members who are working tirelessly towards achieving this objective,” Akintunde stated.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Coordinator of the movement, Hon. Yakubu Lookman, praised Senator Adeola for what he described as his leadership qualities and continued support for members of the group.
Lookman also commended the leadership of the Yayi Progressives Movement for creating opportunities for members to participate actively in mobilisation and other political activities.
He said the collective efforts of members would remain important as the movement continues its activities in support of Senator Adeola and the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The latest donation further underscores the movement’s continued organisational activities and its stated commitment to supporting its principal and APC candidates across Ogun State.
